Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship
ONLY current undergraduate or graduate students in the former NACA Great Lakes Region (Kentucky, Michigan [area codes 231, 248, 269, 313, 517, 586, 616, 734, 810 and 989], Ohio, Western Pennsylvania [area codes 412, 724 and 814] and West Virginia) are eligible to apply. High school students are not eligible.


The Zagunis Student Leader Scholarship was established by the former NACA Great Lakes Region to provide financial assistance to undergraduate or graduate student leaders enrolled in colleges and universities located in the former NACA Great Lakes region. Current undergraduate or graduate students attending a school in the former NACA Great Lakes region are eligible to apply. The scholarship is to be used for educational purposes, such as tuition, fees and books.

DEADLINE
Materials must be submitted online by Nov. 1.

CRITERIA
A committee will select an individual who meets the following criteria:

  • Is a matriculated undergraduate or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better at the time of the application and during the semester in which the award is received
  • Demonstrates significant leadership skills and abilities
  • Holds a significant leadership position on campus
  • Makes significant contributions via volunteer involvement, either on or off campus; and
    Is enrolled in a college or university within the former NACA Great Lakes region (KY, MI, OH, WV and Western PA).
  • You must be a U.S. Citizen
  • High school students are not eligible.

Applicants must submit the following materials so that they are received in the NACA Office no later than Nov. 1.

  • A completed scholarship application form
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • A re´sume´ of the applicant’s leadership activities, skills, abilities and accomplishments
  • Official verification of the applicant’s current enrollment status (fall semester of the year in which you are applying) and a copy of academic transcripts from the college/university registrar
