NACA Northeast Excellence in Programming Awards
Deadline: Oct. 12, 2009
The Excellence In Programming Awards were established to distinguish the outstanding programming happening in the NACA Northeast Region. One or more awards can be given in each of the following categories of member schools: 2,000 or less students, 2,001 – 5,000 students, and 5,001 plus students. Electronic submissions will be accepted online until Monday, Oct. 12 on the NACA website. Finalists will present their award submission at an educational session during the 2009 Regional Conference. Self Nominations are supported and encouraged.

Criteria & Eligibility for Selection:
A description of a minimum of five outstanding programs from November 2008 - October 2009
Effective use of available resources, effective evaluations and effectiveness of programs

Creatively promotes and markets the programs to the student population-include samples

Demonstrates a range of diversity in their programming efforts

Finalists will be required to creatively and informatively present their award submission at an educational session during the 2009 Regional Conference. Session will be open to conference participants and will also be attended and judged by an anonymous selection committee.

Documentation for five separate programs should include:

  • program goals
  • program budget
  • program location
  • target audience
  • attendance
  • evaluation
  • publicity and promotion items

Also, please attach at least one letter of support describing the unique qualities of your programming and why this group should receive this award.
